Hunan need give full play to the key of innovation
After a trip with climbing and turning around, a cup of water which was put in a floating train did not spill over a droplet. This example demonstrated that the maglev train levitated smoothly in the air. People could take the maglev train between Changsha High Speed South Station to Huanghua Airport since May of this year. It’s a fantastic and comfortable levitation trip which takes only 20 minutes.
The length of this medium-low speed maglev operation line which is innovated independently in Hunan is 18.55 kilometers. It creates two records: the first medium-low speed maglev line with independently intelligent property and also the longest medium-low speed maglev line in the world.
Hunan delivered a remarkable innovation report: super computer Tianhe-2 with fastest operation speed in the world, large scale hybrid rice with the world highest yield and the concrete pump truck with longest arm etc.
Except the “star” industry, there are more than 1,300 enterprises appeared in Hunan’s innovation map. They have significant influences to the world even though located in an inland area.
From January to June in 2016, the output value of hi-tech industry in Hunan increased 15.8%, the increase rate in service domain is 9.5% and 71.6% in mobile internet domain.
According to 2015 China Regional Science Progress Evaluation, the comprehensive science progress index of Hunan is 54.29% which increased 4.68% compared to 2014. Hunan arrived in the first place of increasing rate.
Hunan people are always daring to be the first and pursue excellence. Thus Hunan people have deeper understanding of innovation and make more practices.
Hunan people have more creative idea. “Why we can’t use glass panel on the phone?” A brilliant idea generated in 13 years ago, makes LENS TECHNOLOGY growing from a small workshop with 8 people to a huge enterprise with 90,000 employees and 5 billion Yuan of market value.
Hunan people have more advanced concept. However, market-entering of innovative output could be realized with the support of policy.
It’s clear to see that government should protect and encourage innovation spirit. Xiangjiang newly developed area of Hunan is the first national level newly developed area in central China and approved by State Department in April of last year.
