Recently, Ziyang Company signed a contract for the design and manufacturing of 6 narrow gauge AC transmission diesel locomotive and its 10-year maintenance service with the owner of the Democratic Republic of Congo (hereinafter referred to as "DRC") through video. This is the first time that Chinese AC drive diesel locomotive is exported to Central Africa.
These locomotives are the export field of narrow rail AC drive internal-combustion locomotive in our country, and the first batch of products realize from parts to a complete vehicle to be manufactured domestically, and have completely independent intellectual property rights. It is a kind of trunk freight diesel locomotive customized by Ziyang Company for African users such as Congo (DRC) in combination with the characteristics of local railway operating environment.
It is reported that up to now, Ziyang Company has exported more than 1,100 locomotives of various types to 33 countries and regions around the world, accounting for more than 50% of China's diesel locomotive export. Among them, it has delivered more than 200 passenger and freight locmotives, and shunting diesel locomotivesof various types, as well as more than 10 DMUs to 15 African countries, covering areas with harsh environments such as high temperature, high humidity, high altitude and high wind and sand, making important contributions to local railway transportation and economic development.
