70% low-floor light rail car

The 70% low-floor light rail car is a new-type urban rail transit vehicle developed by Tangshan Rolling Stock Plant. It adopts high-performance AC drive control technique, bogie with independent wheel set, combined braking mode of various forms of electric brake, air brake, and broken rail brake and many advanced key technologies such as inter-module articulation and low noise control. Therefore, this model of car has such features as high safety, comfort, quickness, environmental-protection, large transport capacity, and low energy consumption. The 70% low-floor light rail car comprises 3 modules which are connected in between with diaphragm through articulated mechanism. As an urban rail transit vehicle that can run bidirectionally, its low floor height allows passengers to get on/off the vehicle easily. The maximum running speed of the vehicle is above 70km/h.
