The YW25G air conditioned sleeping carriage with cushioned berths is a domestically produced model 25 passenger car designed and manufactured by Tangshan Rolling Stock Plant. Homemade raw materials and supporting products are used as substitutes on this car on the basis of the 25A model so that cost of the passenger car is reduced. A large number of improvements have been made during design. The car has smooth lines and a pure and fresh tone inside. As one of main models of sleeping carriage with semi-cushioned berths operating at present in China, the car is equipped with improved 209P bogies and model 104/F8 distribution valves and provided with air conditioning units on car roof and centralized power supply and electric heating systems.
Three-layer berths are used in the YW25G air conditioned passenger car. The berth facing can be fireproofing cloth cover with soft color which can either be customized or be selected according to interior colors. There is a small tea table in the middle of each unit; folding side seats are arranged on corridor side to allow passengers to have a rest. The car roof is decorated with fiberglass-reinforced plastics (FRP) or PC styling or flexible faced plywood which has soft color and attractive shape. With good light transmittance, heat insulation property, and sealing performance, all windows feature a construction of aluminum alloy frame and double glazing. Complete sanitations are provided. Attractive and applicable, wash basins and urinals are all constructed of stainless steel.
Improved 209P bogies are used on this car. With smooth operation, simple construction, and reliable application, this bogie has been widely used on passenger cars in China. Electric connectors of uniform type of MOR allow reliable connection. Electronic antiskid devices are installed. Diaphragms can be designed and manufactured according to customer requirements. Rubber type and fully-sealed vestibule diaphragms can be selected. KCL-40 air conditioners are used.
