CRRC SRI’s Core Intelligent Products Unveiled in InnoTrans

On September 18th, Berlin International Rail Transit Technology Exhibition, world’s largest, most influential and comprehensive professional event in the field of rail transit was grandly opened.

On the booth of China CRRC, CRRC SRI demonstrated to the world the two self-developed “black technologies” – the intelligent maintenance system of rail transit vehicle and the train autonomous circumambulation system (TACS).

For a while, CRRC SRI’s intelligent manufacturing has become the focus of attention around the world.

Intelligent maintenance system of rail transit vehicle – make the train maintenance more intelligent

The intelligent maintenance system of rail transit vehicle adopts the robot technology, machine vision technology and multiple control technology to collect the high-definition images at the sides and bottom of rail transit vehicle and provides accurate fault evaluation and early warning by means of advanced image feature recognition and machine in-depth learning technologies to facilitate the daily inspection of railway vehicles and improve the maintenance quality and efficiency.

Simplification of maintenance

The highly-flexible robot arm and motion platform are adopted. The robot arm with the acquisition device enters between the bogie and the car floor, acquires the images of key components on bogie according to the predetermined angle, position and order, and identifies the fault automatically by means of image recognition algorithm, solving the the problems of manual maintenance and increasing the detection area by about 40% compared with the traditional method.

Interconnection of data

The information management platform makes the maintenance management intelligent and informative. It can provide the traceability of vehicle maintenance record and data support for the intelligent solution of the whole life cycle of railway vehicle core systems.

Exclusive customization

The image acquisition robot can adopt various walking modes according to different working conditions, customize design and production according to the site conditions, and be used in combination with other detection and information systems.

Train autonomous circumambulation system (TACS) – make the train wiser

In a word, TACS can make the train highly intelligent and realize the real autonomous operation!

Independent thinking

The information such as line map, timetable etc. is transferred to train, and the trackside control devices etc. originally located on the ground are placed on car, so that the train has the ability to obtain the operating environment and can independently think and decide. TACS always plays a leading role throughout the operation with no need for human intervention, which truly realized the autonomous and unmanned operation. TACS can reduce the huge investment of ground facilities to a minimum, which is conducive to the transformation of old lines and cost saving of new line construction, operation and maintenance.

System combination

More abundant status and control information will be provided mutually between on-board signal equipments and cars through the unified Ethernet platform on the train. It can not only reduce the hardware interface, but also combine the signal system closely with the traction and braking systems through open information interaction to make the train control process more accurate and is conducive to further reducing the system energy consumption level.

Trainset- trainset communication

A high-speed safety information transmission platform is built by using the special communication network of metro to realize the communication between trainsets (referred to as trainset – trainset communication for short). Based on the tracking of trainset - trainset communication, the rear trainset can get the information of front trainset by direct communication with it and generate a stable tracking speed curve, which can improve the operation efficiency of train, increase departure frequency, shorten train running interval, improve commuting and holiday peak congestion and waiting conditions, while improve ride safety and comfort.
