Recently, CRRC SRI and PATENTES TALGO S.L. (hereinafter referred to as Talgo) has officially entered into the batch order in Madrid, Spain for supplying the passenger information system for F070 EMU, with the contract amount of about RMB 60 million.
Global Purchasing Director Jose Ignacio, Strategic Purchasing Director Carlos Rodrigo from Talgo, Chairman Kong Jun, Vice General Manager Yao Xiaoqiang from CRRC SRI and other related personnel attended the signing ceremony.
CRRC SRI has also signed a strategic cooperation agreement over the next 10 years with Talgo. The two sides have joined forces and CRRC SRI will be the primary supplier of PIS to Talgo over the next 10 years.
Talgo is a Spanish rail transit vehicle manufacturer founded in 1942. It is one of the most important OEMs in Europe who mainly manufactures high-speed trains and occupies an important share of the domestic and global rail transit market.
The PIS for F070 EMU ordered this time mainly consists of interior and exterior display, media server, interior LCD TV, passenger entertainment terminal and other components, and CRRC SRI will provide a complete set of hardware and software. More than 500 passenger entertainment terminals shall be arranged on each 12-car F070 EMU, through which passengers can realize video-on-demand broadcasting, listening to music, access to track information, call the crew etc., and the data interaction of the terminals shall be achieved via Wi-Fi.
This is the first time that CRRC SRI to export its PIS for EMUs in batches to European OEM, and also the first time to export its electric products with independent core technology to European high-end market. The signing of the contract marks the further enhancement of the recognition of the core technology of CRRC SRI in the international market, and also lays a solid foundation for the company to further expand in the international high-end market.
