February 9th is Melbourne Metro's first public open day, countless local citizen were attracted on that day in close contact with the Melbourne metro train prototype manufactured by CRRC SRI. The passenger information system customized by our company for Melbourne Metro make the Melbourne residents for the first time to enjoy the charm of the core manufacturing products of our company.
The passenger information system adopts the full Ethernet digital system architecture, mainly consists of broadcast and intercom system, passenger hearing aid system, video monitoring system, information display system and passenger counting system. The broadcast and intercom system adopts the SIP based VoIP solution, reaches the international leading level; the hearing aid system covers 90% of the passengers compartment area, which is convenient for hearing handicapped persons to obtain information; the video monitoring system is applied with the standard ONVIF protocol and support high concurrent video storage system; the information display terminal products adopts the HTTP communication protocol, which realize the remote real-time update display template function; the passenger counting system can accurate count the number of passengers on and off, with a precision of up to 95%.
As the transferee of passenger information system (PIS) technology for high-speed EMUs, CRRC SRI earliest in China introduced this foreign advanced technology, and after hard study, digestion and absorption, and innovation for many years, CRRC SRI has now become a company with more than 10 years of experience in the design of PIS for high speed EMUs, and a PIS integrated solution provider with the domestic-leading and world-class level. Relying on profound mechatronics technology research and development strength and perfect production quality control system, the PIS of CRRC SRI took the lead in passing the supplier qualification certification of Spanish OEM TALGO and supplier qualification evaluation of domestic OEM. The PIS of our company is applied to various types of EMUs such as CRH3, CRH5 and other types of EMUs, accounted for more than half of the domestic EMU market share. Our company also led to develop the technical requirements and standards for PIS of Chinese standard EMU "CR400", and the products have been mounted on "CR400" EMU to achieve full coverage of WIFI inside the car. Besides, since our PIS entered into the urban rail vehicle market in 2012, we have delivered the PIS product in batches for Turkey Samsun project, Shenyang Hunnan tram project etc..
