Intelligent Operation and Maintenance System Become the Focus of the 2017 World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference

From December 6th to 8th of 2017, the intelligent operation and maintenance system developed by SRI was put on the media  of Xinhua News Agency, Yangtse Evening News, Modern Express, Qingdao Daily, Peninsula Morning News and other media in Nanjing and Qingdao, and became the focus of media.

On the exhibition, the intelligent operation and maintenance robot attracted a large number of visitors, and when the system started the simulation test, everyone took pictures.

During the exhibition, Mr. Liu Hualong, president of CRRC and the secretary of the Party committee, Mr. Lou Qiliang, vice president of CRRC inspected SRI's intelligent operation and maintenance system.

The system is so popular not only because it’s beautiful appearance, but also because the core technologies. This system is the first equipment in the world to use highly flexible robot and machine vision fusion technology, fully in accordance with the maintenance standard of high speed train or urban rail train, to realize the visual inspection work for all vehicle parts.

 

                       

When the train enters the depot for maintenance, the intelligent operation and maintenance system starts the image acquisition robot for self-examination. When the robot moves uniformly to the front end of the vehicle, it automatically detects the bottom of the vehicle and collects the picture. When the robot moves to the designated position of the tail of vehicle, it stretches out its arm and moves in the opposite direction until  the robot's laser is positioned on the bogie, and then the arm is designed to enter the narrow space at the bottom of the bogie and the vehicle to start collecting pictures of the key parts of the train, in the mean time, the robot automatically starts the area-array camera for more detailed bottom HD shooting. Compared with the traditional manual operation, the intelligent operation and maintenance system can increase the overhaul range by more than 40%, reduce the loss detecting rate and improve the maintenance efficiency. The collected train information will be displayed on the control center display in real time. After the acquisition is completed, the robot automatically returns to the initial position and shut down.

The system has three magic weapons to ensure high efficiency and high quality of inspection, that is, HD image collection is clear, fault identification and processing is accurate multi-drive mode compatible.

HD image collection is clear. The image acquisition robot can collect the high-definition images of key parts in each direction of the bogie, the multi-dof flexible manipulator carries the image acquisition device to collect the high-definition images of the top, side and bottom of the bogie, at the same time, the line scan camera collects the high-definition image of the bottom of the entire vehicle body, the area-array camera collects the high-definition image of the bottom of the bogie, so as to ensure full coverage of the vehicle to be inspected.

Fault identification and processing is accurate. The accuracy of fault identification is greatly improved by adopting the advanced image feature recognition technology and machine depth learning technology. The collected high-definition images are transmitted to the control center in real time by wireless network, and the image recognition algorithm is used to realize the automatic fault diagnosis, such as missing parts, bolts loosening, foreign matter, breakage and wear etc.. The system can automatically feedback information to maintenance personnel for verification.

Multi-drive mode compatible. According to different conditions of maintenance, the image acquisition robot can work in two ways: hanging or laying rail on the ground, which is compatible with various working conditions requirement, and can also customize the maintenance mode according to the user's demand.

The intelligent operation and maintenance system for urban rail vehicles is the latest intelligent product developed by SRI in accordance with our intelligent manufacturing goals, relying on the electromechanical R&D advantages over the past fifty years, and will be upgraded in the future to build the intelligent operation and maintenance system ecosystem.
