On Mar. 27th, the straddle type monorail walking wheel, horizontal wheel, horizontal safety wheel and walking auxiliary wheel developed by SRI passed the evaluation before mounting.
On the evaluation meeting, the expert group indicated that the mounting interfaces, mounting methods, functions, performances of these products are in consistent with existing products, and the performance indicators can meet the technical requirements. They also said that SRI has optimized the design of the structure, profile and thread pattern of the walking wheel, to make improvement on the problem of the eccentric wear and thus enhance the service life of the product. At the same time, SRI has improved the tread material of the auxiliary wheel, to further improve the performance of the product under emergency conditions.
SRI relies on the technical superiority in the rail transportation industry and R&D experience of more than 50 years for rubber materials, to carry out the research and development of the air springs and wheels for straddle type monorail vehicles, and thus optimize the performances of existing products. The wheel system independent developed by SRI pass the expert evaluation this time to further enrich the product series of SRI in the vibration absorption products for straddle type monorail train.
