CCTV News Praise SRI’s Core Systems

        In Mar. 2nd, 2017,CCTV news launched a television programme “Praise China”. The news reported about the first coupled operation of the 2 sets of China's standard EMU "Blue Dolphin" and "Golden Phoenix", emphasised on train coupling and wireless internet access, and praised China's high-speed rail technologies.
        The realization of train coupling and wireless internet access have been credited with the coupler & darft gear and the passenger information system developed by SRI for CEMU. The coupler &draft gear for the first time realizes the compatibility among different types of CEMUs, and at the same time, adopts for the first time the world advanced car-end energy absorption and management system, so as to further improve the train ride comfort and safety. The passenger information system technically realizes the WIFI coverage, and strengthens the mobile phone signal inside the train. In the future, it can provide the passengers with such funcstions as timely information query, order meal via mobile APPs, entertainment and so on. Later, the satellite based Internet access passenger information technology will bring more convenient and stable Internet service for passengers.
        In addition to the above mentioned products, other core systems like electric products and vibration absorption systems developed by SRI also applied to the CEMU. The driver's console developed by SRI adopts the new carbon fiber lightweight design, which improves the strength and reduces the dead-weight of the train. For the air springs, SRI has improved its sealing reliability through two aspects of structure and material; the products can be applied to the temperature condition of -50℃, to meet the operation requirements of severe cold areas in China, so that improving the ride comfort. The traction system and TCMS developed by SRI mounted on the CEMU can provide an endless flow of power to the CEMU , so as to improve the operational control accuracy and response speed.
