SDD6 is a narrow gauge, light axle-load, AC-DC transmission diesel locomotive applying C0-C0 radial bogie with single pull rod for axle box. It features double-heading control which can be operated in the leading locomotive, and adopts AC transmission for auxiliary system. equipped with domestic air-vacuum dual purpose brake, the locomotive can be used for vehicles with air brake or vacuum brake. It is suitable for shunting, marshalling, freight and passenger transport. With simple systems, good applicability and maintainability, SDD6 can be used in tropical and sandy regions.
