Introduction: DF11 quasi high speed trunk-line passenger diesel locomotive is equipped with 16VZSOZJA diesel engine, JF204C synchronous primary generator and ZD106 traction motor. The maximum service power of the diesel engine is 3610KW and the nominal power of the locomotive is 3040KW. Its balancing speed on flat and straight track can be up to 167km/h when drawing a 640t passenger train (about 12 cars) and up to 143km/h when drawing an 1100t passenger train with expanded consist (about 20 cars). It is the prime type of diesel locomotive of drawing quasi high speed passenger trains.
The locomotive is equipped with microcomputer control system, electro-pneumatic braking system and resistance braking system. The running gear is composed of typical structure of quasi high speed bogie with excellent performance. The locomotive body is of truss type bearing structure. The cab head is of moderate stream line structure with a dip angle of 25°. The cab has proper layout and is equipped with air conditioners. Year of first manufacture: 1992
