The Line 4th is one of the important routes of the Chongqing Rail Network Planning. It looks radiation-like, connecting the West and East. It starts from the Minan Road Station in the West, ends at Tangjiatuo Station in the East. Going past Yubei Administrative District and Jiangbei Administrative District, it connects some major areas, that is: The North Train Station Comprehensive Transportation Hub, Lianglucuntan Bonded Port Area, Tangjiatuo Group, etc. The line is 15.754 km in length, with 11.075 km underground and 4.679 km with viaducts. Nine stations will be finished, with five underground(Minan Road Station, Chongqing North Train Station( North Square), Toutang Station, Bonded Port Station, Gangcheng Station), two on the viaducts( Cuntan Station and Taipingchong Station),two on the ground( Heishizi Station and Tangjiatuo Station).The average space between two stations is 1.97 km. The five transfer stations can lead to Circle Line ( Minan Road), Line 10th (Chongqing North Station( North Square)), Line 9th ( Toutang, Bonded Port Area), Line 11th ( Taipingchong). One car depot is in Tangjiatuo. The project started on Sept. 5th , 2014, and is due to conduct trial operation on Dec. 31st , 2017, with a total duration of three years and four months， that is, 1213 days.(Translator/Lin Yuzhu)
