CRRC Sifang, a Qingdao-based wholly-owned subsidiary of CRRC Group, signed a contract with the São Paulo Metropolitan Train Company in September 2017 for the supply of eight trains with a total of 64 carriages for São Paulo's line 13.

These trains are built for the line 13 which will have a length of 12.2 km upon completion, connecting downtown São Paulo with Guarulhos International Airport, the first airport line in South America. These trains have a top speed of 100 km/h and are equipped with safety systems including derailment detectors and water mist fire extinguishers.

The train can carry up to 2,538 passengers and is equipped with air conditioners, luggage racks, and electronic maps in each carriage.
