The battery service vehicle produced by CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd. will be put in service for Malaysia Metro Line 2.
The battery service vehicle is powered by electricity to substitute the fuel metro service vehicle with high noise and dense smoke, and will perform metro line maintenance, rescue and shunting for metro vehicles at fault in enclosed tunnels -- just like an intimate “nurse” for metro line maintenance.
The service vehicle is designed upon adaptability optimization according to local service environment of Malaysia on the basis of the battery service vehicle exported to Singapore by CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd. The vehicle is driven by the current from the third rail or by battery power supply, and is also set with on-board standby drive power; the vehicle is installed with advanced signal system and radio system to realize real-time communication and monitoring with service vehicle, and thus to ensure vehicle operation safety.
As a representative green and environmental-friendly product, the service vehicle has advantages in low emission, low noise, minor vibration, and small impact, and will greatly improve operation and maintenance environment along the route after operation, and thus to guarantee physical and mental health of working personnel and minimize environmental pollution. It is introduced by insiders that a set of such service vehicle can save carbon emission of about 2,000t than a diesel service vehicle of the same power throughout 30-year life cycle, indicating reduction of operation cost of about RMB 7 million.
