Recently, the southern section of Nanjing Metro Line 5 made by CRRC Puzhen successfully started operation. The operation mileage of Nanjing Metro increases from 12 lines (close to 460 km) to 13 lines (close to 473 km), and the number of stations increases from 217 to 226.
Nanjing Metro Line 5 is an important vertical subway axis in the primary city zone of Nanjing. It is 37.4km long, and the construction started in December 2016. The line adopts drum-shaped A-type trains, consisting of 6 cars (4 motor cars and 2 trailers). There are 50 trains of them, with the maximum operating speed of 80km/h. The head of the train is a “smiling face”, with the front face raised to match the golden color of the head, making the smile more vivid and brilliant.
In terms of the comfort level, gangway with better sound insulation performance is adopted at the ends of the cars, and sound-insulating and sound-absorbing compound materials are laid in the lower part of the electrical cabinets at the ends, reducing the noise in the end area of the passenger compartment. The air conditioning system adopts the variable air volume technology, which makes it possible to adjust the total air volume based on the quarter and the fresh air volume according to the number of passengers, providing a more comfortable riding environment to passengers.
