Recently, the first D6171 train comprising CRRC-made CR300AF EMU departed Guiyang North Station, marking the official operation start of the Guiyang-Libo section of the newly built Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway.

CR300AF adopts the design of low-resistance linear head shape and smooth body. It has elegant lines, and is more energy efficient. The EMU is 209m long, with four motors and four tractors, boasting technical advantages of good performance, intelligence and environmental friendliness. At the same time, the train further enhances the standardization and interchangeability of components, and further reduces the full lifecycle costs by system matching, light-weight design and energy-conserving technologies.

Upon the full operation of the Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway, the traveling time from Guiyang to Nanning will be reduced from 5 hours to 2 hours. It will become a major steel channel between Guizhou, Chongqing, Sichuan as well as Northwest China and places like Nanning, Beibu Gulf, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and Hainan, which will play a critical role in improving the railway transportation capacity between Southwest China and the coastal area in South China.
