Recently, Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway, which was jointly built by China and Indonesia, started operation, shortening the traveling time between the two places from 3.5 hours to 40 minutes. In early October, the railway will officially start business operation, marking Indonesia’s entry into the era of high-speed railway.

The train for Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway adopts the advanced technology of Chinese standard CR EMU with a speed of 350km/h, which caters for Indonesia’s operating environment and route conditions. It is designed and manufactured taking into consideration Indonesia’s culture, and features advanced technology, safety and comfort. Moreover, the train adopts intelligent sensor technology, capable of real-time monitoring, early warning and diagnosis of all the EMU’s critical systems.

President of Indonesia Joko took the high-speed train at Halim Station of Jakarta. He noted that the train was steady when operating at the speed of 350km/h, and he felt very comfortable. He hoped that people in Indonesia would use public transportation more often and take the Jakarta-Bundang high-speed train to alleviate the transportation pressure between Jakarta and Bundang.
