Recently, the new CR200J EMU developed by CRRC departed from Xining Station and headed for Golmud.  The CR EMU was officially put into operation on the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, and the “Sky Road” has entered the era of EMU.

The new CR200J EMU is a power-centralized EMU specially designed for the environment of high altitude and low temperature along the western section of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway. It adopts the 6-axis power locomotive, with a total traction power of 7200KW, which is about 30% higher than the regular 4-axis CR locomotive. The strong power enables the EMU to start smoothly on an uphill slope of 30‰. It comprises 9 cars (1 motor and 8 tractors), with a maximum speed of 160kw/h and a capacity of 676 passengers.

In order to ensure the safe and stable operation of the CR EMU on the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, CRRC’s after-sales service team properly carries out the inspection and preparation of the EMU to provide users with comprehensive technical support and thoughtful services.
