Recently, China’s first B-type Chinese standard metro train with a speed of 80km/h developed by CRRC was launched in Xuzhou. After China’s first A-type Chinese standard metro train with a speed of 80km/h rolled off the production line in Guangzhou several days earlier, a new member was added to the family of serialized Chinese standard metro trains.

The development and tests of serialized Chinese standard metro trains is a key national technical equipment project led by the National Development and Reform Commission and directed by China Association of Metros, with CRRC heading up the execution. The Phase II of Xuzhou Metro Line 3 is the first in China to adopt the B-type Chinese standard metro train. Based on the function configuration requirements of the serialized Chinese standard metro train, multiple transformation and improvement have been made in features such as autonomy, sophistication, energy conservation and safety.

The introduction of the B-type Chinese standard metro train with a speed of 80km/h into Xuzhou will further increase the level of Xuzhou’s rail transit construction, and enable the residents to share the latest independent innovation achievements of China’s metro trains. It will not only effectively support the local economic development, but also make it convenient for residents to travel.
