Recently, the metro train exported by CRRC to Porto of Portugal successfully completed the bridge trafficability test on Dom Luis Bridge, achieving the integration between the CRRC premium metro transit products and Porto’s historical architecture.

Dom Luiz Bridge is located on Line D of Porto’s metro network. In the complete train type approval test, the metro train made by CRRC Tangshan successfully passed Tunnel J of Line D. The short route contains large ramps, small curves, and a platform. In particular, the platform is located in the area of the turnout curve, which presents a huge challenge for the vehicle trafficability. Passing the test indicates that the train has the full network operating capacity on Porto’s 6 metro lines.

Porto is a port city in northern Portugal, and is the second largest city of Portugal and an important economic center in the north of Portugal. After the new CRRC-made metro train is put into operation, it will satisfy the increasing traffic need of the local metro, and help the metro network to further expand, making it easy for traveling in the city.
