Recently, the new intercity smart train (CINOVA2.0) independently developed and manufactured by CRRC was officially launched in Qingdao. The train is the first intercity train in China to adopt technologies like ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) and Digital Twin, and achieves intelligence in all use cases. Its official launch represents the upgrade of China’s intercity trains.
The smart train is the intelligent upgraded version of China’s first intercity train CINOVA1.0, which inherits characteristics of the intercity train including “fast start and fast stop, fast boarding and landing, large capacity, and safety and reliability”. Meanwhile, the train incorporates the advanced design concepts of the CR train, and integrates emerging intelligent technologies like 5G, big data, cloud computing and digital twin, featuring advantages including intelligence, low carbon and high price performance.
With the emergency of new urbanization and metropolitans, intercity trains have become an important part of China’s modern comprehensive and multi-dimensional transportation network. The launch of the new smart intercity train CINOVA2.0 independently developed by CRRC marks the new technological upgrade of China’s intercity trains.
