CRRC-made Shanghai-Jiangsu interconnected metro train started no-load trial run

Recently, China’s first cross-county metro line, as well as Jiangsu’s first cross-province rail transit that seamlessly connects with Shanghai, Suzhou Rail Transit Line 11 started its no-load trial run. The train will start official operation in the mid-year after three months of no-load trial run.

Suzhou Metro Line 11 adopts the Type B model and boasts a maximum operating speed of 100km/h. It has 6 carriages of 232 seats, with a maximum capacity of 2098 people. The train also uses green materials. In terms of design, the head of the train is inspired by Suzhou gardens. The streamlined body looks futuristic, and presents a sense of technical beauty with the exquisite colorful ribbons around the body. The interior features beige and cool brown, giving a warm feeling.

Suzhou Metro Line 11 is China’s first cross-county metro line. It will enhance the radiation ability of downtown Suzhou and Kunshan, and guide the optimization of urban spatial layout. Meanwhile, it will play an extremely important demonstrative role in promoting the integrated planning of transportation, industries and spaces, and in driving the integration of Shanghai and Jiangsu.
