Recently, the first section of Guangzhou Metro Line 22 officially started operation, supporting the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Line 22 adopts Type-D urban express train with a speed of 160km/h and a large capacity. The train comprises 8 cars, which have different exterior design. Featuring a streamlined “flying wing” body design, the train adopts a carbon fiber headstock hood, an integrated windshield, and a main tone of “amber gold” with a vibrant orange ribbon. In addition, space gray stainless-steel chairs and composite floor are complimented by a healthy lighting system, in which three light colors change with the season, supporting energy conservation and environmental friendliness. Furthermore, the fully sealed equipment cabin effectively isolates external noises. The train supports fast start and stop, and fast boarding and landing, brining comfortable experience for passengers during fast operation. Enabled by advanced technologies like cloud computing and big data, the train is equipped with a fully automatic operating system with automatic train wash, departure, and door opening and closing.
As an urban metro express with a speed of 160km/h, the train connects railway hubs including Guangzhou Railway Station, Guangzhou Baiyun Station and Guangzhou South Station with the three terminals of Baiyun International Airport, realizing the connectivity among hubs and facilitating the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay area.
