Recently, the project of 400m-long rail trainsets developed by CRRC Qiqihar Group for Rio Tino of Australia received the completion certificate from the client, symbolizing that the product has successfully passed commissioning and trial run, and has been accepted by the Australian client.

There are 9 models of Rio Tino’s 400m-long rail trainsets, which comprise 23 vehicles and one manipulator, with efficient loading, transportation, unloading and recovery operation functions. The trainset can transport 40 400m-long rails at the same time, significantly reducing the number of construction workers and the labor intensity of workers.

Rio Tino’s 400m-long rail trainsets entered the commissioning and trial operation phase upon arrival in Australia in June 2020. Despite the challenges imposed by the pandemic, CRRC Qiqihar Group’s development team went all out to provide remote technical support for the client, and organized analysis and provided system solutions in a timely manner, enabling the successful commissioning and trial operation. Rail Express, an authoritative railway magazine in Australia, published pictures and information of Rio Tino’s 400m-long rail trainset in its prominent position, vividly displaying the unique style of the product, and further improving the brand value and reputation of the product in Australia.
