Chile’s Minister of Transport and Telecommunications Hutt rode the new train made by CRRC

On September 2, 2021 (Chile local time), Chile’s Minister of Transport and Telecommunications Gloria Hutt and her retinue test rode the new EMU train made by CRRC Sifang that arrived at Concepcion, the capital of Bío-Bío.Hutt was impressed by the train’s advanced facilities, including the intelligent temperature control system, intelligent lighting system, modern structure and visualized information map, as well as its high level of safety and comfort.

After completing the local performance tests and the 2000km of no-load test run, all the 12 new EMU trains are expected to be put into official operation on the Biotren Line and the Corto Laja Line within this year. This is the first time in 40 years that these two lines have updated rail vehicles. They will provide safer and more comfortable travel experiences for people along the lines.
