On September 18, China's first EMU train exported to EU, “Sirius”, arrived in the Czech Republic. It is reported that this kind of vehicle will be put into operation after passing relevant certification tests such as TSI (Technical Specification for Interoperability), providing high-quality services for local people's safe, convenient and environmental travel.

In December 2016, CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd. signed a Three EMU trains Supply Contract with Czech Republic Leo Express. Composed of 6 sections of marshalling, this kind of EMU train has a maximum running speed of 160 km/h, with four innovation points as follows:

1. The train adopts DC3000V and AC25KV dual-flow power received technology, to meet the requirements of voltage systems in different countries and regions in Europe; 2. The articulated bogie is applied, with smaller turning radius and stronger running adaptability; 3. With intelligent control technology, it can adapt to diversified European operation modes, with functions of automatic stop, automatic wake-up, station adaptive parking, etc.; 4. With the low floor technology, the door entrance is only 600mm away from the track, which is convenient for passengers to get on and off, as well as effectively using the existing stations.

As a high-end market for global rail transit equipment, the EU has strict demands and access standards for train quality and reliability. EMU train serves for the EU market. Obviously, it is a solid step for CRRC ZELC to become a world-class enterprise, which marks the recognition of China's high-end equipment manufacturing brands in the international market.
