CRRC presented its SigThemis signalling at the UITP World Public Transport Summit 2019 in Stockholm on June 10.
Developed by CRRC, SigThemis is based on the specification for SRS 3.6.0, which was published by the EU Agency for Railways in June 2016.
SigThemis supports ETCS levels 0, 1 and 2, and is compatible with baselines 2 and 3. It is also interoperable with Chinese Train Communication, and supports various levels of train automation.
Presenting details of the technology, CRRC said the Radio Block Centre (RBC), Computer-Based Interlocking (CBI), European Vital Computer (EVC) and Centralized Traffic Control (CTC) are SIL4-certified and compliant with relevant TSIs.
