Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayuth attended the train receiving ceremony at Bangkok’ port for the city’s yellow and pink Metro lines

At 10:00 on October 1 (Thailand local time), the receiving ceremony for the first INNOVIA Monorail 300 for Bangkok’s yellow and pink Metro lines was held at Bangkok’s Port of Laem Chabang, and Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayuth attended the ceremony.

Onsite the event, the video of the production of the trains for the yellow and pink lines as well as the departure of the first train from the port of origin was played. The Minister of Transportation introduced the implementation status of the project. Prime Minister Prayuth addressed the ceremony. Afterwards, Prime Minister Prayuth and other guests cut the ribbon for the first train, toured the train, and took a group photo in front of the train.

All the straddling monorail trains of the project are provided by PBTS, which are designed based on the Bombardier model, in total 288 carriages of 72 trains. The trains adopt the highest level of GOA4 fully automatic unmanned technology, and are designed and manufactured according to the internationally advanced standards, boasting outstanding safety, reliability and comfort. All the trains will be delivered by early 2022.
