On September 4, in the Wuhu production base of CRRC Puzhen Bombardier Transportation System Co., Ltd. (PBTS), the assembly of the first two yellow and pink trains was completed, and the trains were ready to be packed and shipped. These are the first two trains of the 288 yellow line and pink line straddle monorail trains supplied to Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, by CRRC PBTS. All the straddle monorail trains are provided by PBTS, including 288 trains in 72 sets. The trains adopt the fully automatic driverless technology and are designed and manufactured according to international advanced standards, boasting outstanding safety, reliability and comfort. All the trains will be delivered by early 2022.
The Yellow Line and Pink Line in Bangkok are two important rail transit lines in downtown Bangkok, both adopting straddle monorail trains. The lines are expected to start operation in 2022. The Yellow Line is planned to cover about 30 kilometers with 25 stops, while the Pink Line will cover 34 kilometers with 30 stops. Upon arrival in Thailand, the first trains will undergo a series of tests, including carrying out relevant system tests on the main line.
