PISDP disconnector is safety protection device, and is mounted in HV block. The main faction is following:
All disconnector are closed when double loco multi-traction, there HV circuit on the roof of double loco are connected. So that current correction of double loco could be used one pantograph and main breaker on one loco.
if there is any failure happened on HV device on roof, then disconnector would be open to isolate the failure HV device and keep the operation of loco.
