Introduction
Shenhua eight-axle locomotive is developed for local railway transportation based on HXD2 locomotive with adaptability design for the need of Shenhua railway heavy load transportation. The power of locomotive is 9600kW and the single axle power is 1200kW. The maximum operating speed is 120km/h; the locomotive adopts home-made wireless coupling unit can satisfy the transportation requirement of large quantity of heavy loads.
Main technical characteristics：
1、The locomotive carries high-capacity traction transformer with independent installation of charging generator cabinet.
2、The locomotive adopts home-made wireless coupling unit, automatic neutral section crossing, bearing monitor device; The train control adopts WTB train network. Vehicle network adopts MVB vehicle bus.
3、The cab is added with microwave oven and refrigerator. The double seats on the locomotive satisfy the requirement of single driver’s operation.
4、The locomotive adopts rim wheel. Park and stop 8 sets for each locomotive.
5、Automatic braking controller and direct braking controller adopts integrated structure position controller and add EPM modular, independent braking display screen. Braking system control adopts independent control method.
