Introduction of the product:

SS4 fixed multi-locomotive is a kind of 8-axle freight electric locomotive. It is made up of two identical 4-axle locomotives connected by couples and vestibule diaphragm. There are HV connectors, control cables and control air pipes used for the air braking system between the two locomotives. The whole locomotive could be controlled synchronously at any driver’s cab. The multi-locomotive could also be divided into two 4-axle locomotives to be operated independently.

Main technical features:

1. The thyristor of unequal three-section half control bridge rectifier is adopted to made phase control adjustment and the triple frequency harmonic filter is used to improve the power factor of the locomotive. The traction characteristics are represented by constant current and quasi constant speed. The supplement rheostatic braking is used for the locomotive.

2. Low- position slanting traction rods are adopted, which have higher adhesion performance.

3. It is equipped with devices with functions of slip protection and axle load transfer compensation, improving the full play of the adhesion traction force

4. The forced self-guide oil circulation and full aluminium plate upwarping oil radiator are used for the locomotive.

5. The DK-1 brake is used for the braking system, which is characterized by the function of electro-pneumatic braking and pneumatic-electro combined braking.

6. Multifunctional control devices are applied, including traction control, electric braking control, axle load compensation control, slip protection control, power factor compensation control and pneumatic-electro combined braking control, etc.
