On February, 2nd, БКГ-2 electric freight locomotive manufactured by CRRC Datong finished all clearance procedures and arrived in Belarus.
According to the requirement of Belarus shortcut container railway freight transportation, БКГ-2 electric locomotive is a kind of high-end intelligentized 7200kW AC driven electric locomotive researched and developed by CRRC Datong. The locomotive can make early warning of operation fault and fire danger to remind the drivers and conductors to give right operation and improve running safety. The locomotive has several energy save functions such as regenerative braking which can feedback braking energy to contact electricity net and realize green environment protection. At the same time, the locomotive has been optimized for strengthening winter protection design, real time intelligent monitor and driving habit and so on in order to satisfy the railway operation requirement of Belarus.
At present, the railway of Belarus is broad-gage railway of 1520mm which is different from the standard gauge 1435mm of China, БКГ-2 electric freight locomotive will finish more than 100 items of test verification at Belarus, including the collision of the complete locomotive, line adaptability test and other strict checks. Chief expert Tong Lei of CRRC says that the difficulty of some test items are bigger those of France and Germany. We use high-power AC driven R&D platform and three-dimensional simulation technical platform to improve design technology and manufacturing process which can satisfy the test requirement.
It is believed that CRRC Datong win out from the cut-throat competition with world rail transportation magnets in 2010. After that, CRRC Datong provides the first batch of БКГ-2 electric freight locomotive. It is the first time for China to export the high-end railway equipment to Europe, also the first time for China high-power AC driven electric locomotive to pass the GOST standard certification (railway technology specification of commonwealth of independent states) and enter European market successfully. It is indicated that in the aspect of researching and developing high-power AC driven electric locomotive, Chinese enterprise has edge himself into the world’s advanced level. БКГ-2 electric freight locomotive and БКГ-1 electric freight locomotive constitute the new China power, especially at the establishment of the sild road, provide reliable traction strength for materials and trades between east Europe and west Europe. It plays the very important role.
