The Diesel Locomotives of The Largest Export Order in China Will Ship from Dalian

The first batch of the diesel locomotives, which is the largest export order of this kind in China, starts shipment from Dalian on May 19. These two locomotives will cross the South China Sea and the Indian Ocean and complete their maiden voyage to South Africa along the“21st Century Maritime Silk Road”.

With a total sum of 900 million US dollars, CRRC Dalian signed a supply contract of 232 diesel locomotives with South Africa State-owned Transportation Group in 2014. It is the largest single order of diesel locomotive in China exporting to overseas market.

The first batch of the locomotives with the maximum operating speed of 100 km per hour, the locomotive gauge of 1,065 millimeters and the power of 3,300 kilowatts have rolled off the assembly line on March 15 this year. Being the narrow-gauge diesel locomotive with the largest power in the world at present, all characteristics have attained the global advanced level.
