CRRC Chengdu Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") is a joint venture of CRRC Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "CRRC") and its subsidiary CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd. which is mainly engaged in maintenance of China railway diesel locomotives, electric locomotives and coaches, assembly, maintenance and parts research, development and sales of urban rail metro vehicles. The Company has been rated as one of the Top 100 Companies of Chengdu City and Sichuan Province in consecutive years.
The Company is located in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, established in 1951, formerly known as the Ministry of Railways Chengdu Locomotive and Vehicle Plant. It is the first enterprise specialized in diesel locomotive repair in China. The Company covers an area of 510,000 square meters with registered capital of RMB 655 million and total assets of RMB 1.93 billion. The Company is a national high-tech enterprise with Sichuan provincial technology center. At present, the Company has more than 2,600 employees, including over 200 senior and intermediate engineers (3 professor-level engineers, 56 senior engineers and 163 intermediate engineers), over 600 highly skilled personnel (36 senior technicians, 116 technicians and 484 senior workers). It has nearly 1,000 sets of main production equipment, including 80 sets of large equipment, 23 sets of imported equipment and 13 sets of numerical control equipment.
The Company has rich maintenance experience and strong technical strength in terms of locomotives, coaches and parts manufacturing and maintenance. Its business markets have spread throughout 18 Railway Bureaus (companies) and many local railways nationwide. With an annual capacity of 350 locomotives and 800 coaches, the Company can offer maintenance services to the following locomotive models: DF4B, DF4C, DF4D, DF5, DF7C, DF8B, DF12, SS3, SS4G, SS7C, SS7E, SS3B, and SS6B; and the following coach models: 22 series, 25B series, 25G series, 25K type and various retrofitted or modified models.
In 2011, the Company officially entered the industry of urban rail metro vehicles assembly and maintenance, reached the goal of "Made-in-Chengdu" metro trains. Now it has a capability of assembling 150 metro trains or intermediate repairing 300 metro trains per year. The Company also completed the assembly of 10 trains for the eastern extension of Chengdu Metro Line 2, and successfully implemented 400,000 km special maintenance for the first train running on Chengdu Metro Line 1.
The Company has been awarded National Quality Management Golden Prize twice in 1984 and 1989, and National Second Level Enterprise in 1990. In 1997 the Company was named one of the 50 National Leading Environmental Protection Enterprises. Since 2000, it has acquired certifications of ISO9001 Quality Management System, ISO14001 Environmental Management System, OHSAS18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, ISO10012 Measurement Management System and IRIS, and also certification of Safety Production Standardization First-class Enterprise.

During the “13th Five Year Plan”, the Company will focus on the building of CRRC Chengdu Rail Transit Industrial Park, as well as the construction of an R&D, manufacturing and maintenance base of such passenger transport equipment as inter-city bullet trains, urban rail metro, and modern trams, a maintenance base of high-speed bullet trains, locomotives and coaches, and a specialized R&D, manufacturing and maintenance base for electric locomotive industry. The Company will gradually develop the whole industry chain in the future and build the leading enterprise in western China rail transit industry.
